Greenland's Pro-Business Party Secures Victory Amid Trump's Greenland Ambitions

In a decisive win, Greenland's pro-business opposition party, Demokraatit, emerged victorious in Tuesday’s parliamentary election, overtaking the ruling left-wing coalition. The election spotlighted U.S. President Donald Trump's controversial pledge to gain control of the island. Demokraatit, which advocates for a gradual path to independence from Denmark, claimed 29.9% of the votes — a significant leap from its 9.1% in 2021. Meanwhile, the Naleraq party, which pushes for rapid independence, followed with 24.5% of the votes. Since assuming office in January, Trump has repeatedly stressed his desire to bring Greenland under U.S. control, citing national security concerns — a proposal that has faced widespread rejection among Greenlanders.

Delhi Police Busts International Syndicate Smuggling Stolen Cellphones to Bangladesh, 1 Arrested

Cellphones stolen from crowded places in Delhi were being smuggled to Bangladesh through a well-organized international syndicate, which was recently busted by the Delhi Police. The police recovered 48 high-end mobile phones worth approximately Rs 20 lakh and arrested a 24-year-old West Bengal-based smuggler named Abdush.

According to officials, the stolen phones were taken from crowded locations such as Metro stations, public buses, and busy marketplaces in Delhi. These phones were then swiftly transported out of the city, leaving no trace, before being smuggled across the border to Bangladesh. Abdush was caught near the Salimgarh Bypass in North Delhi's Kotwali area while attempting to flee with a consignment of stolen phones. The successful bust highlights the extent of the syndicate's operations and the ongoing efforts of Delhi Police to tackle such criminal networks.
